(More customer reviews)I helped a buddy while he used one of these kits, then I got one for myself. Awesome. Splotch of paint from coming to close to the garage door frame, gone. Key dings around the door locks, polished and vanished. A line where the trunk of the Christmas tree scraped along the door -- Away!
I'd warn you, though, this is like a gateway drug. Two jobs under my belt and I'm imagining things like buying a buffer -- polishing my boat, or the mini van, or anything really.
Frenkly, I've always wanted to do this sort of thing -- but clear instructions are hard to find. Now I get it, now I know what to do.
3M needs to make a larger kit, or sell a multi-pack, or something. I have a '97 Prism that got cleaned with the wrong side of an abrasive sponge -- it's going to take some doing to get all the fine scratches out.

For this reason, I have tried a lot of products over the years to both protect auto finishes and give myself a quick option for putting the finishing touch on my car detailing. This is the best stuff I have ever used!! You can use it on paint, chrome, and even on the plastic surfaces of your vehicle and and the results are astounding! You will get a showroom like finish and UV protection as an added benefit. I even use it to detail my fiberglass boat and it is really impressive in this chore as well. A quick wipedown with a micro-fiber cloth and QuickMist after your washing is all it takes. And it has a pleasant smell as a bonus. Great product!!

(More customer reviews)I bought this product for my moderate volume professional detailing company as a way of freeing up some of the higher powered DA polishers. Well, to say this products does not meet up to the description is putting it mildly. First, it does not have enough power for paint correction in any way shape or form, so forget that idea right off the bat. Secondly, the battery life is nothing short of horrible. I have plenty of cordless tools and am highly familiar with their batteries and how to charge them so I know that I am not the issue here. The bottom line is you get about 30-40 minutes out of it...IF you are using it to buff the wax and polish up on a car, or apply wax, which is all this POS is good for then do it quickly. Bottom line, save your money by a REAL dual action polisher from Meguair's or porter cable (which are the same tool as they are both made by porter cable). this tool sucks big time.

I also used it on a Friends car who had a tremendous level of oxidation. It was on a white Toyota Corrolla and I could not believe the results. I also had to clay detail the car to remove the sever oxidation and then used the Klasse car polish. It worked great.

(More customer reviews)This product literally stinks. I thought that maybe the smell was because of some miracle cleaner. But no, it did not clean as advertised. I used both bottles on my car, a 2002 model that has been hazed up for a few years. After lots of liquid from the bottles and elbow grease only the top third of the headlight lenses showed a discernable difference. Even then the clarity was nowhere near original. Not much difference at all on the bottom two thirds.
While using this product I was reminded of the time that my Mother worked in a restaurant. The ladies there would use ice water and vinegar to remove the stains from the clear coffee pots. That will be my next try at cleaning the lenses.

Mothers 05141 PowerBall Mini Polishing Tool Review

(More customer reviews)Bought the Mini PowerBall to do the aluminum wheels on my motorcycle after I tried the regular PowerBall and found it WAY too big to get into all the areas I needed to. Even the Mini was difficult to get into some areas. I wish Mother's would make a Micro or Nano version.
The ball worked well with the Billet Polish to get a mirror shine in most areas. However, I would caution you to take your time and use only light to light-medium pressure on the ball because it didn't take too long before it began to tear apart on the inner folds and start thumping around on the surface, making it useless. I had to buy another in order to finish the job and it was starting to tear by the time I was done. Not very cost-effective. BTW, I have used cotton buffing wheels with the compound bars and the like in the past in order to buff various metals and had already used that method here before using the Mini PowerBall and Billet Polish for the final step in the process. So I wasn't trying to grind away at a rough, dull surface with this PowerBall, just bringing up the shine to as close to chrome as possible.

(More customer reviews)I am partial to black cars, and I have owned many over the years. I currently have a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP. I believe there is nothing prettier than a clean and polished black car, but as all you black car ownwers know, getting one to a pristine condition and keeping it there is a challenge. Rock chips, hairline scratches and streaks have been my biggest problems. I am sure I have used every major waxing/polishing product on the market over the years with varying degrees of success, in addition to various paint chip filler systems. I have used products from Zaino, Mothers, Meguiars and many others, all diligently according to instructions, but have never achieved complete satisfaction. I figured I was being too much of a perfectionist -- until I discovered Black Box. I have been absolutely blown away by the results. I clay bar my car frequently, so my clear coat is free of surface contaminants. The deep, wet look, streakless finish of the Black Box products is unbelievable given all my frustrations of the past. I don't see this product trying to dye the clear coat at all, as a previous poster has suggested. After all, this product is just color-induced wax, not paint. There is no way it could dye the clear coat. What I believe Black Box does that other waxes can't is fill those miniscule rock chips and hairline or spider-web scratches with black wax such that they literally disappear. And no more streaks. Pretty amazing. I would certainly recommend that you black car owners give this product a try. It certainly can't hurt, and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Klasse All-In-One Polish and Sealant Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using Klasse All-In-One for about 5 years now. It is more of a 'wax substitute' than a cleaner. It's very easy to apply and easy to polish out, and will do a good job of protecting your paint (like a wax), beading water up nicely for for 4 - 5 months. It doesn't seem to contain many compounding abrasives and leaves no swirl marks or scratches, but does seem to remove light dirt and marks in the clear coat. The look of the shine you get is more of an acrylic shine than a wax shine - it's probably better used for lighter colored cars if you are a fanatic who loves that "deep" wax glow. All in all, I recommend Klasse over any of the many waxes or other products I've tried.
I generally use the All-in-One without using the companion sealer in the silver bottle. It's nice but not necessary in my experience.
The main reason I don't use the sealer is that it's a whole different story in ease of application from the All-in-One. It's a lot of work to put on and take off. It does,however give very good protection and a bright shine. Again, carnauba wax affectionados be warned - it's more like your car is coated in cellophane sort of shine than a wax glow, but it's bright, clear, and nice looking. If you enjoy the work of tediously waxing your car twice, then you'll think the extra flash of the finish with the sealer worth the trouble. Usually I'd rather go for a drive than suffer through the extra (a lot extra) work. Put on two coats of All-in-One instead and skip the sealer.

3M Lens Renewal Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I've been watching my the lenses on my 2002 PT Cruiser become more yellow and hazed over each year. Not only do they look terrible but at night, they don't shed as much light as they used to. The price to replace them is about $125. I purchased my 3M Lens Renewal Kit from Autozone and paid $25 + Tax. A local body shop said they'd do it for $71 for both lenses. I decided to take on the project and do it myself. The directions are good and easy to follow; there is even an online "how to" video.
I am very impressed with the outcome! I only wish I could post some before and after pictures but this review only allows for video. Everything's included in the kit except a drill. The sandpaper grades are extremely fine. You will work your way to the extra fine and finally buffing and polishing compound. To do both headlights will take a couple hours and you will end up with a brighter outlook on night driving and a happier face on your ride.
