(More customer reviews)Goes on like any other liquid wax. Wipes off easily. Produces a very very slick finish, provided the paint you apply this to is clean and smooth to start with. If its not, get out the compound or clay bar. Only fly in the ointment is the 12 hour "cure" time to allow the coating to polymerize in a covered area to keep moisture and crud from interfering with the polymerization process.
I tried this product as my current job is in a rural agricultural area -- bug splatters big time and lots of very fine dust from the construction project I'm working at. Bug guts wash off easily and dust has not been able to stick.
Rejex goes on easy and wipes off without a lot of elbow grease. When its time to reapply Rejex, I usually run my 07 RX400h through the carwash on Friday after work, and apply Rejex when I get home so the 12 hour cure period occurs overnight. I didn't try Rejex for its once a year application claims. I wanted superior non-stick coating to keep bugs and dirt from baking on the paint. And I'll apply Rejex every 2-3 months to keep the slickness at max.

(More customer reviews)I have used Rain-X for over ten years now. I am still amazed at what it does for glass. The spray bottles or wipes have worked best for me. Do not apply or buff with a cloth you intend to keep as the chemicals degrade fabrics. Cheap paper towels do just fine. Some people complain about glare after applying it, but a good buffing or the next car wash or rain shower will take care of any places you missed.
Windshield, side glass and even my mirrors are treated three to four times a year. No, it is not intended to replace using wipers, but any consistent cruising speeds over 30 mph and water rolls right off.
Try not to spray on painted surfaces & rubber trim as the directions say. I have experimented with spraying rubber scraps & plastics, it degrades and dries rubber trim fast due to the evaporatives in Rain-X.

Windshield Wonder Review

(More customer reviews)I have a vehicle with an extremely sloped front windshield, which makes it quite difficult to reach in and clean it by hand. The Windshield Wonder came to the rescue. It not only gets to those hard to reach places, it cleans them well.
I saw this advertised on TV, and it looked great. The only problem was you have to get two of them. They say the second one is free, you just pay the shipping. Let me see that's 10 for the Windshield Wonder, plus 7 to ship the first one and another 7 to ship the second which add's up to $24. I was trying to figure out why I would need two of these, particularly since I was not even sure I was going to like it. There where no reviews on Amazon at the time. I found out Wal Mart carries these for $10 each in there As Seen on TV section. It definitely sounded like a better deal to me. At least that way I could take it back without a hastle if I did not like it.
And yes after using it I did like it, and would highly recommend this cleaner it does work exceptionally well. In fact it enables you to clean all of your hard to reach and not hard to reach windows with ease, plus folds away to store in your glove compartment.

"As seen on TV"...eeek. I was extremely skeptical.
But I used it yesterday for the first time... AND IT WORKS. I can't believe it! Somehow it is able to remove that plastic residue haze that forms on glass from all the plastics. And it did it easily and I only used water.
I really don't understand how it is possible for it to work; one would think it would just push the contaminates around and/or not even dissolve them with just water. I would love to know if it works this well for other people too.

(More customer reviews)Meguiar's NXT Generation Glass Cleaner is the best glass cleaning product I have found, and I have tried many.
I was forever fighting the windows in my automobiles. I would clean them, and they would appear clean in the shade, but when I went driving out of the shade, I had smears and residue all over the windscreen. I thought I was always using premium products. Indeed, I never used the common supermarket glass cleaners, but speciality ones, including aerosols, and ones with names that included such words as invisible and perfect.
However, for me this is the ideal product. Sadly, I have yet to find it in any physical stores, so I'll continue to buy here on Amazon. Comparing the price of some of the other premium glass cleaners, this one is only slightly more per bottle, and the results are much better.
However, application method is still key! You need to use with this cleaner high quality microfiber towels. Even better is if you can find towels specifically for glass, but otherwise use the microfibers you find with the least lint. I use at least 2 towels and at least 2 applications of cleaner for each window. Things are much better now. Not always perfect, but a lot better than any other product I had ever used.
The product also seems less harsh to trim pieces like rubber molding, which it accidentally gets on this area. I now use the product on glass and mirrors in my home too.
Thanks Meguiar's. I knew you had the best paint care, but it seems you have the very best glass care too.

Corrosion Technologies Rejex 16OZ Car Wax Review

(More customer reviews)Last night I coated my new car with Rejex. It's now at the end of the twelve hour "curing" stage so I thought I'd leave some comments to help people shopping for sealants.
I have zero experience finishing cars. I've always been against the idea of babying a vehicle, but my car is so spanking new that I figure it wouldn't hurt to give the paint some protection and find a way to make all that fresh brake dust easier to swab off on a weekly basis. Rejex seems like stuff that might accomplish these goals.
The car looks great, all the surfaces and angles delineated to full effect. I wouldn't describe the shine as showcar-deep, and wouldn't want it that "wet" anyway, but it's definitely glossier than it was on the car's arrival three weeks ago. I still can't comment on Rejex's durability or how well it protects against bugs and streetcrap; others on the internet have reviewed those traits and I'll chime in as time goes on.
I cleaned the car in detail yesterday and let it hang to dry in the garage for four hours to drain all the cracks. Then I waited for the sun to stop beating on the garage door as the instructions say not to apply in temps over 85 degrees. That evening I swabbed Rejex all over the car with cotton wax applicator pads. I think I might've slathered it on a bit thick because it took a while to dry to the prescribed haze. Once it did, I started wiping it off with soft cotton rags. Sometimes as I was wiping, little areas of sticky residue collected and needed extra elbow grease. Like I say, I might have done something wrong, but the process wasn't as easy as I'd heard. From initial application to final wipedown took about three and a half hours, with the wife grabbing a second towel for a half an hour out of pity.
If I had it to do again I'd maybe put a little less on and extend the drying time. This might lead to a slightly chalkier dried consistency which would cut down on the buffing away of accumulated wax. As it was, I used up about a half a bottle and a few yards of cotton cloth. I also scraped excess out of cracks with Q-Tip type things, which was tedium I probably brought on myself. Next time I'll put it on lighter.
The interesting part of this story will be in a few weeks when we see how water is beading and bugkill is wiping off. But for now, I recommend Rejex with the proviso that it's not as easy a job as some in internet newsgroups make it sound, but it does make the car look great.

I'd forgotten about this product when I realized we had to clean all the windows and bathrooms (mirrors, etc) to put a relative's house up for sale. Not available in local stores, I did an internet search, found it on Amazon and ordered 3 bottles. It is the BEST glass cleaner I have ever used. The house sparkles - now hope it sells!

The Original California Car Duster with Standard 15" Cleaning Head Review

(More customer reviews)You can trust that this item works well and does not scratch your paint. I was always skeptical previously and just asssumed these things scratched the car. But my paintless dent removal guy uses one and highly recommended the California Duster to me. He is fanatical about keeping his car totally detailed. And this product works so well that he never even washes his car unless it gets rained on. He just dusts it every morning before he backs out of his garage, and if needed he uses some liquid instant detailer and a microfiber cloth after dusting if he feels like it. It takes a total of less than 2 minutes to dust off an entire car, yet the result makes your car look like you just washed it.
I use the California Duster before putting on my car cover so that there is no dust between the car and car cover. If you have a garage, it's quite useful since dust settles on the car during the day when you are out and about and at night, even garaged. You won't have to wash your car as often if you use the California Duster. And dust won't build up if you use it often enough.Before discovering the California Duster, I found that after washing my car, I could only use my car cover for a few days before the car got too dusty to put a cover over. Now I find that I can keep the car dust free and use the car cover for much longer, which in turn means I don't have to wash the car nearly as often.
I got the plastic handle California Duster which was significantly cheaper at the time I ordered. Although the wood handle one looks classier and probably feels nicer, the plastic handle one feels plenty sturdy, for the value oriented, get the plastic handle one since it's the exact same brush anyway!
I am really very happy with what I paid for the Calfornia Duster and would not hesitate to recommend one to anyone with a car or motorcycle. Just be aware what it is not made for a car that is wet or very dirty. My only complaint is that it is not actually made in Calfornia.
