(More customer reviews)I have a 2002 Nissan Altima and the headlights were starting to look foggy, so I did a quick google search and it led me to this product. Not much info was given about it, so I opted for the one with the 'cloth' and the bigger 8 oz. bottles. This product worked perfect, I just paid for more than I needed. Let me explain...
First off the 'cloth' is a glorified paper towel. DO NOT let that be a factor in your decision! I thought it would be a nice polishing cloth, sandpaper, or something worth while, but no... It's just a paper towel. If you find a cheaper option without it, go for it!
Second, the #3 bottle was useless. It is meant to take out 'bigger' scratches, but it didn't work for me. I used the three step process "as is" and saw no difference at all. What made the difference was sanding. I would not purchase the #3 bottle again.
I read that a good technique for sanding is to use 800, 1000, then 1500 grain sandpaper to prepare my headlights for this product. I also read it takes over 2 hours! Another opinion was that all you need to do is use 2000 grain sandpaper and that would save you time. I went that route. I had a little trouble finding the sandpaper as my local hardware store didn't carry it, but wally world had it in the auto section for about $3.
If you have deep scratches or any imperfections you can feel by touch I recommend getting a lower grain sandpaper to buff that out, then wet sanding (sanding with water) with either the 1500 or 2000. This will save you some time, but you could just use the higher grain sandpaper, it will just take longer.
After sanding your headlights, or whatever plastic you are working on, should have an even haze throughout. If you can still see the imperfections in the haze, repeat the sanding process until they are gone.
This is where the Bottle #2 comes in and works great! This is intended for small scratches, and will fill all the ones you just created by sanding perfectly. Apply this with a paper towel like you are applying wax to a car, then let it sit for a few minutes. There were no instructions on what to do with all this gunk #2 leaves behind, so I used the #1 bottle to wash it off.
When I cleaned it off I was left with crystal clear plastic! It was AMAZING! I could still see a few imperfections, but they were only left behind because I didn't sand deep enough to get them out.

- #1 bottle could easily be replaced by windex or any other plastic friendly cleaner of your choice.
- 8 oz. was way too much for me
This product did exactly what I wanted it to do! My headlights look clear as crystal! I hope this review helps other people to pick what they need for their project.

(More customer reviews)I used the 3 step process to try and remove some really deep scratches on my motorcycle windscreen. I wasn't expecting this product to remove them completely, and it didn't; but it eliminated the fine scratches and greatly improved the appearance of the really deep scratches. It can't perform miracles but it will work on scrapes and shallow scratches.

(More customer reviews)My husband originally purchased Novus no. 1 a couple of years for automotive use, but he also tried it on his polycarbonate eyeglass lenses, and we have been very impressed with it as a lens cleaner. It buffs out fine scratches, so the lenses are easier to see out of, and it maintains them well. It even cleared up lenses with multiple scratches. We ran out of novus no. 1 and for a few months I had been using other things to clean my glasses. We recently ordered this kit with Novus no.1, Novus no. 2, and Novus no. 3. My husband first used number two and three on some scratches in a car door and he thought they really helped with it.

I used them on my eyeglasses.
I have a vintage pair of semi-translucent cat eye frames (complete with rhinestones) from the fifties that I purchased used about two years ago. After daily use, these frames had started to look pretty dull. I was especially disappointed with the bridge-- it had a sort of filmy appearance. After cleaning my frames and lenses, I tried a bit of No. 2 on a small spot and I thought it helped. I used it all over my frames, but I wanted some more improvement, so I tested and then used No. 3. Wow! After thoroughly and carefully applying no.3 all over and polishing my frames with it, they were really looking remarkably better. After using no.3, I carefully polished them with no.2 a few times. I then cleaned them with no.1.
I was amazed because these glasses now look better than they did when I first purchased them. The plastic has been restored and the filmy appearance is entirely gone. More impressively, after polishing and cleaning, I can now see details I never saw before, like the brand name on the inside of one arm, and the size of the frame. The area around the rhinestones is also remarkably cleaned and the lenses are very clear. I never expected this level of improvement without paying for professional cleaning.
As an aside, I'm also pleased by with bottle design. I dropped the Novus no.1 while I was using it and the spray top broke off. I'm clumsy and I've broken plenty of spray tops on things, and sometimes that means I can't use the product anymore. With these bottles that isn't a concern because I can just unscrew the top and transfer the contents to another sprayer and then recycle the bottle. I play on trying this system on other accessories and appliances.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this product based in some reviews and I have no words to express my total disapointment...The number three is nothing else than a cleaner, similar to any LCD cleaner, that does no more than water alone. Number three is very rough, and number two do not offer a fine polish, not better at least than any auto detailing product of the market. Mother's scratch remover or McGuire's scratch-x work far better for example...

First let me say that I'm very familiar with polishing techniques, as I'm an auto detailer, I got this one to polish the trim of an LCD TV, that the products I have refuse to finish properly, but the scratches lead to a haze blemish after using the number two, and what initially was a fine scratch now has become an hazed spot, impossible to remove. NOT EVEN AN ELECTRIC BUFFER FIXES IT NOW!!!
If you want to restore plastic any auto detailing product will work far better than this product, the polishing cloth are nothing more than a glorified paper towel pieces, that's it. I was expecting at least a microfiber towel, nope, a paper towel period...
Resuming, number three is too rough, number two does not polish what number three does, and number one is nothing else than a LCD water based cleaner...
Stay away from this rip off, you will be better served by any auto detailing product, that are cheaper and easier to find...

(More customer reviews)I wouldn't recommend this for most laptops. I have an alienware laptop, and the lid is a cross between matte and glossy black ( a muted kind of black ). I tested the #2 on a small area on the lid. It would probably remove the fine scratches, but I didn't use enough to find out. However, it leaves your plastic looking permanently extrememly shiny black. It looks like a grease spot, to be honest, rather than something desirable. You have to know what this is good for- don't use it on things that you don't want to have a greasy-like shine. It would work best on clear plastics.
The novus #1 is a waste of money. I'm pretty sure it's just windex. It smells like it and does the same job. Also, the "cloth" it comes with is just a thick paper towel.
I recommend Plexus plastic cleaner/polish for laptop use. It mutes the look of scratches (its not an abrasive) and makes it look like new, protecting against fingerprints, ect.

I have electronic items that need to be cleaned (dusted) and was afraid to use paper towels as they leave lint pieces behind. These do NOT! I also clean my dashboard of my car with these wipes. Excellent! No dust pieces left behind. Mirrors in my house, glass table tops, no lint left behind. Get the drift? They are also very absorbent, soft, strong, and washable. I bought these over two months ago, but wanted to wait until I used them to write a good, honest review.
