(More customer reviews)I took a chance on this product and wasted my money. From hindsight, I think that the very similar, glowing reviews on other sites were probably orchestrated.
My '04 Mustang GT convertible black plastic trim has faded over the years but Black Magic brings it back to a satiny sheen that lasts a couple of months before needing another application. I bought this product hoping for the "permanent" improvement promised. In fact, despite faithfully following the instructions, the first application looked like a drunk had put liquid shoe polish on my trim. Following the instructions, I later applied a second coat, and later yet a third but the appearance did not improve. My conclusion is that this item does not work on dense plastic trim.
Worse yet, this junk blocked the Black Magic from working, so the car looked much worse for having tried this product! So, I had to buy some solvent at the auto parts store to try and dissolve all the Forever to get rid of it. About 90% came off but it did stick in streaks where the wind had buffeted the plastic trim edges.
This product may work as advertised on rubber surfaces but it was a disaster on the plastic trim on my car. Caveat Emptor!

(More customer reviews)I bought a 2001 tracker. It was in great shape and I love it. But, the original owner used Armorall on all the exterior vinyl surfaces. It destroyed the color of the trim, turning it chalkie white with stripes. I used 2 coats of FOREVER BLACK on all the surfaces. WOW, what great stuff. I'm not a professional, but still, everything is beautiful. I truly love this stuff and recommend it for everyone!

(More customer reviews)I love this product, I Have a Ford F150, did the running boards,bed rail caps, trim around back window,tail gate handle, I even did my tires and then cleaned off the white letters with lacquer thinner, here and there I got a little on the paint and it wiped right off no problem, The other guys car must be dry with no wax if he had trouble getting it off paint. It does penetrate not just sit on top. Seven months since applied and still looks new!

(More customer reviews)I used it on my 2004 Chevy Avalanche with the plastic "body armor." Works awesome!!! Turns the sun faded plastic from an ashy gray/white back to the original black. Does not drip or run when it rains/gets wet. I have had it on for about 5 months now in the direct sun and it still looks black. Easy to apply (must tape of the paint or chrome so as not to have it stain other parts of the vehicle).

Mothers 06108 Back-To-Black - 8 oz Review

(More customer reviews)I have read all the reviews for Mother's Back To Black, and frankly, I am a little surprised that no one has mentioned the "rain factor" with this product. I used to use this on my Volvo bumpers because over the years, they had faded from black to grey. The Back to Black did make the bumpers look nice; however, as soon as the next rainfall, the stuff would run off the bumpers and cause really ugly streaks. Likewise, every time I washed the car, applications of the Back to Black became an additional step during the washing process. Well, I got tired of that really fast.
For those who use this product and love having to continually apply and re-apply it over and over again, enjoy! However, for those who are looking for a permanent remedy to your faded trim, use Forever Black. It is also available here on Amazon. I applied 6 coats of the stuff back in September of last year (2007). As of right now, the bumpers on my car look BETTER than they did on the day I bought the car (3 years ago). The bumpers look fantastic and the Forever Black is not affected by rain, or any other weather conditions. Actually, I am quite shocked that Forever Black is not better known that it is.
