(More customer reviews)I've tried other brands (Lexol, Leather CPR - to mention just some of the safest) and I was disappointed, well, the moment of disappointment was only after comparing them with this product. SmartLeather does exactly what it says it will do and the way it says it will do it. It cleans like magic! I tried it on some really dirty white sport shoes and it left them like new! This stuff really cleans absolutely better than Lexol and Leather CPR and it is so easy, you don't require a lot of elbow work (I actually experimented with the mentioned brands side by side to see the results). If you are a woman who wears a lot of makeup or creams and you leave stains on your car leather seats or other leather garments, well worry no more... here you have found the perfect solution to "really" clean, condition, lubricate, and protect in one simple and easy step. The smell will stay for weeks and the only one downside is that the glossy shine will be gone within a week or so (if you use a lot your car or garments that you applied it on), and I don't mind since I don't like the shine, which by the way is a really natural "like new" glossy shine. Among the things that really fascinate me are the water-resistant layer that it is left behind and that it is all natural, meaning that it is absolutely safe to apply on any surface, even vinyl and plastic (the company gives a life time warranty on this and almost all of their products) while leaving the scent of new leather (if you like that). I was so delighted with this product that I drove to the company's office and bought some of the other products and I am completely satisfied (I don't have to tell you how happier and enthusiastic I have become when it comes to cleaning my car now - for the first time ever I am looking forward to do it myself rather than to take it to a carwash - hey, I have been cleaning cars since I was 9, you know: my Dad's, my own). The SmartDressing (another product by the same company to clean the dashboards, plastic, rubber, panel, etc), for all interior surfaces including leather, leaves a scent of coconut and a real natural shine that last for at least a month and it repels dust making it even easier to clean the next time. The SmartDetail does a superb job on glass and on dirty spots on the exterior of the vehicle. SmartONE is amazing!! This is the waterless carwash... Hey, I have almost all their products (except for two or three that I really don't need) and I am more than completely satisfied. Now, after all said and done, I must tell that I also use "Z-10 Leather in a bottle" by Zaino. It cleans a little easier and deeper (about 5% respectively) than SmartLeather, really, and it will not leave a glossy shine but rather a matter look (unless you apply a second layer then it will be glossy), and that is the way I like it: no shine, just a natural matte look. Just to let you know, even though Z-10 is my favorite I still keep SmartLeather as a backup. I refuse to let go SmartLeather. Two more favorites (from Zaino) are "Z-CS Clear Seal" and "Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss", and then I use the SmartWax products. So, here it is my line up: to clean leather "Z-10 Leather in a bottle" (because of the matte look) & SmartLeather (glossy look) as backup (I combine them some times), to clean all interior surfaces SmartDressing, to remove stains from carpet SmartCarpet, to wash the car SmartONE, to wax the car SmartWax, to clean glass or dirty spots on paint SmartDetail, for the reams RimWax (by SmartWax), for the tires SmartGel and/or Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss (still undecided), and finally as a paint sealant I use Z-CS Clear Seal (only because the protection will last a very long-long time and is the easiest to apply ever) and mind you that SmartSealant is almost as good if not a perfect match. You can use only SmartWax products and I warranty you that you won't need any other brand!! I use Zaino's Z-10 mainly for the matte shine. It seems that both these companies have no rivals except for themselves.
NOTE: all of SmartWax products are totally-absolutely-unconditionally safe (you do not have to apply on hidden areas to see if it will bleach or not, no matter which product you use; Lexol and Leather CPR are the only other brands that are absolutely safe, all other brands warn you that it might bleach) and, get this, each product from SmartWax cleans deeply while it lubricates and protects. From Zaino (which also cleans, conditions, lubricates, and protects just as SmartWax does), only Z-10, Z-CS, Z-16, and Z-AIO are totally safe (the rest of the products warn you not to use on plastic, rubber, etc. depending on the product). Both companies make their products with UV40, which I believe is the highest until now (for this kind of products). Another excellent interior cleaner is Turtlewax "ICE Total Interior Care T465". It does leave a medicine smell and a matte look (watch it when you squeeze the bottle, do it against the clothe that comes with it), but it is not better than SmartWax. I have used almost every product out there over many years and now I am glad to have found Zaino and SmartWax.
By the way, if you end up buying SmartWax, then buy the bigger bottle... you will save money and you won't run out so soon.
I found out about SmartWax through my local Honda dealer when I bought my last car. I asked what product they use for detailing their new cars and I was told that this is the best they know and use. I know some deluxe car dealers that also use it.
