(More customer reviews)I really wanted these to work. The idea sounded great - wipers that don't wear out and are infused with PTFE so you get the Rain-X effect simply by using the wipers!
Installation was easy, but things started to go downhill after that. Both wipers had issues contacting the entire windshield during the sweep, thus leaving spots that didn't clear the water. I think this is due to the uni-blade design and the stiffness of the blade itself. It got worse - we had a couple of snowstorms - nothing major, but after the first one, the blade warped simply by being in contact with the snow/ice. Then the cheap plastic that holds the one-piece design in place broke off when encountering a little friction. And I never have seen the Rain-X effect despite using these for close to four months.
Honestly, I got much better performance out of the cheap rubber blades and a bottle of Rain-X than I have with these. The marketing pitch sounds nice, but execution leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe there are silcone wiper blades that do work great, but these aren't them.
