(More customer reviews)I recently used Smart Sealant on my Scion TC, which is a dark gray color. A polish should definitely be used before using the Smart Sealant. I started with one coat of a Meguiar's polish to clean the paint first, then applied a coat of Smart Sealant. The product was applied by hand with a microfiber pad and has a nice smell (if that matters to some). The wax came off very easily even after applying it to the whole car before removal. It left a really nice shine and the paint was left feeling very smooth. I only gave it 4 stars because I can't comment on durability just yet, but I expect it to be pretty good. I would definitely recommend this product as an easy-to-apply sealant that leaves a great shine.
